| Information: | Heredity and hormones play the key role in whether or not you have oily skin. The most important thing you can do for oily skin is to work hard and consistently at keeping your skin clean using hot water and soap. Cleaning your face with astringent pads is also recommended if washing your face frequently is leaving your skin irritated. Use only water-based cosmetics if you have oily skin. If is extremely unlikely that your diet has anything to do with whether or not you have oily skin. See also acne.
